  3. What is WINBOND?
  4.  
  5. WINBOND is a Windows application to track and valuate Series EE
  6. savings bonds. The program provides for mulitiple bond files if
  7. desired.  Several viewing options are available to view current
  8. bond values, interest earned and a special option to project bond
  9. values over the next 20 years starting with current actual bond
  10. value.  Department of the Treasury tables are provided.  Sold
  11. bonds are also maintained if desired and interest earned history
  12. can be kept.  Capability to create ASCII report files or printed
  13. reports is provided, and these file can be printed or loaded in a
  14. word processor.

  16. An import function is provided to convert any current bond files to
  17. this programs' format from an ASCII file or report.  Bond redemption
  18. tables are provided as issued by the Department of the Treasury
  19. and these tables are updated every six months (the ability is
  20. provided to maintain these files yourself, if desired).

  22. This is a shareware program and once registered, all future updates
  23. including bond redemption tables can be obtained at no additional
  24. charge.  See Registration in on-line help for more information.
  25. All versions of the program will be upward compatible, meaning that
  26. all bond files created with earlier versions will compatible.

  35. INSTALLATION

  37. New Installation
  38.  
  39. To install the evaluation version of WINBOND, create a
  40. subdirectory and copy all the included files into this
  41. subdirectory. Copy the file VBRUN200.DLL, distributed separately,
  42. and available for free) to this same subdirectory.
  43.  
  44. If you have other programs that require VBRUN200.DLL it is
  45. better to put a single copy in the Windows System subdirectory
  46. rather than have duplicates taking-up space on your hard
  47. drive.  GRID.VBX can also be put in this directory.

  49. Upgrade
  50.  
  51. Copy files into your current WINBOND directory.  GRID.VBX does not
  52. have to be copied since it will already exist in your system.

  55. STARTING WINBOND
  56.  
  57. To start WINBOND, you can simply double-click on
  58. WINBOND.EXE from the Windows File Manager, or define a new
  59. program item in the Program Manager. Once started, you can
  60. select HELP from the menu bar and gain access to all information
  61. for this program.

  64. WINBOND is Shareware, and a registration fee of $15.00 is
  65. required if used past the 30-day evaluation period. When payment
  66. is received you will receive a serialization number which you
  67. can enter in the program.  All future upgrades received and
  68. redemption table upgrades will be automatically registered with
  69. this code.  See the Registration section in the on-line help
  70. file for additional information on this subject.

  89. copy valid for 30-days. Any use of WINBOND after the 30-day
  90. trial period is in violation of federal copyright laws. Read the

  111. Coming in the Future
  112.  
  113. Release 3.2 will be upgraded to to VB 3.0.  This requires that
  114. you will need VBRUN300.DLL.  Keep an eye out for it on your
  115. bulletin board.

  117. Bond Registration information will be available as an option.
  118. (ie. owner name, SSN, etc.).  All current bond files will be
  119. compatible with this option.
